I'd assume not. It would be sort of entertaining to see them try.

[ It's one of those house rules that he generally agrees with, but if he were living with anyone else, maybe he wouldn't be quite so unwilling to break it every now and again if they're likely to have the house to themselves for a couple of hours. ]
